We are seeking a Charge Nurse (RN) - Sub Acute who will be responsible for organizing, and directing the delivery of patient care and is a member of the unit leadership team. The Charge Nurse promotes and enforces the interdisciplinary plan of care, procedures, policies, practices, ethics and standards of the facility. The Charge Nurse establishes and maintains positive interpersonal relationships between multidisciplinary team members that include the staff, physicians, patients and their family members.

Identify competency deficits/learning needs of staff in collaboration with the clinical educators, managers, and director. Consults internal experts as needed.

Support customer’s rights and their safety.
Communicate problems and actions by using the chain of command.

Quality Practice: Practice, coordinate and facilitate quality care.
Maintain clinical expertise in the diverse population served.
Maintain a safe environment for customers, staff and visitors by adhering to regulatory standards, manufacturing recommendations and hospital policy and procedures.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to facilitate timely coordinated care.
Oversee the delivery of care, assists with priority setting and clinical assessment as needed.
Support quality improvement initiatives.
Demonstrate fiscal accountability by appropriate use of staff, supplies and equipment.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Current California Licensed Registered Nurse.
Current BLS-HCP Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers - American Heart Association (AHA), or American Red Cross (ARC) - CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer accepted on hire until card expiration date.
Two (2) years acute care experience.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Working toward BSN.
National Board Certification in clinical specialty area of practice.
